Kundu

Kundu is the lately developed tourism region of Antalya mostly consructed with high standard hotels with 5 stars and more. Distance to Antalya airport is 5 km and 4 km to the heart of the city. The long sandy coast of Kundu has been restricted by hotels to use as their private beaches with several sea sports and entertainments facilities as well.

Lara beach

The sandy Lara Beach lies roughly 12 km to the east. Lara beach has a blue flag. The beach begins east of Antalya's cliffs, just past the Lower Duden Waterfall and east of the waterfall a point of land extends into the Gulf of Antalya. Restaurants, hotels and other services host visitors who swim mostly from platforms and docks. The real sandy beach starts on the east side of the point and extends for several kilometers. Most parts of the beach are backed by commercial services offering sun umbrellas, beach chairs, snacks and drinks, showers and perhaps even some entertainment. You can easily reach Lara Beach from the center of Antalya by minibus. The minibuses run all the way along the Lara beach to the end of the public access area

Kas

Continuing west out of Kekova, you come to Kas, a lovely spot surrounded on three sides by mountains. The friendly local fishermen are happy to run a water taxi service to take you to a favorite bay, cove or beach along the coast. The swimming and diving are excellent in the clear cool water around Kas. Of ancient Antiphellos,as Kas was once known, only the Lycian rock cut tombs and sarcophagi are left. But the charm of the town remains, and it is a pleasure to wander through the streets, stopping to examine souvenir shops that offer Turkish handicrafts, leather goods, copper and silver items, cotton clothing and the inevitable handmade carpet.

Kas, once named Antiphellos, is one of the pretty harbors of the province of Antalya. On the slope facing the sea there is a well-protected theater, behind that a necropolis, and on the hill there are rock tombs shaped like temples carved into the rocks.

The Lycian style sarcophagus grave now in the middle of the main street at the centrum is a symbol of this antique Lycian city. Kas harbor provides a breath taking stop for the yachts and boats alike.There are daily boat trips to the antique Kekova-Kale-Uc Agiz region starting out from Kas harbor. There are also cruises to the Greek island Meis across the harbor.

There are excellent restaurants, terrace bars and tea gardens, pretty cobbled streets and alleyways abundant with exclusive shops, craft centres and beaches in the town or a short drive away. You can enjoy a traditional Turkish massage, hamman or even experience a visit to the barbers where a haircut, shave and neck massage are all part of the deal.Kas is 160 km to Dalaman Airport and 200 km to Antalya Airport.

Kalkan

Kalkan is a natural harbour village. First visitors to this land was firewood carrier ships and their crew.Previous name of this village was "Kalamaki",where the Greek origined people lived in.Those people had migrated to Australia and Greece after 1923. Located 135 kms southwest of Marmaris. Unfortunately, there is not any certain information about the establishment of the ancient city Telmessos, but it is known that it was one of the biggest cities of Lycians. Fethiye is known for its rock tombs carved into the faces of the cliffs by the Lycians. The tomb of Amnytas dating from 4th-century B.C built in Doric architectural style is the most interesting one to see. Sarcopaghi and Fethiye Tower are other historical places to visit. Didim

The nearest airport to Didim is Bodrum which is 90 km away. Izmir Menderes Airport is 150 km away and easily accessible via motorway. Yalikavak is a nice resort located 18 km. from the central Bodrum, on the north west coast of the Bodrum peninsula. Yalikavak is famous for its windmills, mandarins, fresh fish and sponges. Ortakent-Bodrum

Ortakent is a nice holiday resort located on the middle south coast of the Bodrum peninsula, 13 km. from central Bodrum and just after Bitez. Ortakent is situated on the intersection point of all resorts' roads. Ortakent is famous for its warm waters, sandy beach and mandarin gardens. Gocek-Dalaman

Gocek lies in the intersection of the Mediterranean and Aegean Turkey, climate being mostly Mediterranean. Gocek can be visited any time of the year but the best weather conditions are between May 1st and October 15th. The second half of October is good for yachtsmen looking for winds but there is also a higher chance of rainy days.

July and August could be hot, though these are the top seasons for tourism. June and September has warm and beautiful weather and May is very nice. In fact even April is great with blossoming orange flowers but it can get a little cool in the sea for yachting.

There are also hourly buses from Marmaris to Fethiye which you can get off at Gocek and walk 5-10 minutes to the center. These buses run every hour or so depending on the season. Distances and approximate travel times by bus: Gocek-Fethiye (33km, 30 minutes), Gocek-Marmaris (102 km, 90 minutes), Gocek-Izmir (327 km 5 hours), Gocek-Bodrum (214 km, four and a half hours), Gocek-Kas (136 km, 2 hours), Gocek-Antalya (231 km, 4 hours).

There are no cruiselines or ferries to Gocek. The only way to come by sea is either by chartering a boat or a cabin in a scheduled cabin charter whose itinerary includes Gocek.

Selimiye is located on the southwest of Marmaris. It is 10 kilometers from the village Orhaniye. Selimiye is also a popular place for the blue voyage yachts and boats. The village has very green environment.The sea is very clean and bright but there are not any big beaches around. The closest beach is two kilometers away that the beach there has a shining great sand.There are restaurants at the shore serving the yachts, boats and visitors. The region is very quite and calm.It is possible to see ancient city remnants too like in every village of Marmaris. The ancient city of Hydas was located in the region.Selimiye is 40 km to Marmaris and 130 km to Dalaman Airport.

Milas Bodrum Airport

Milas Bodrum Airport is situated on a peninsula which juts out from the southwest coast of Turkey into the Aegean Sea. The Greek island of Kos is a few kilometres away, across a narrow strait. Once the home of Herodotus, Bodrum is known today as a beautiful and popular resort area. The airport is situated 36kms northeast of the town of Bodrum, and 16kms south of Milas. Akyaka-Gokova

Akyaka is situated in the province of Mugla, in the southwest of Turkey, at the eastern end of the Gokova gulf, between Marmaris, Mugla and Bodrum. The number of inhabitants amounts in the winter is approximatly 1500 people, in the summer it almost happen doubles. It' s delightful position at the end of the Gokova gulf, bordered in the north by the almost 1000 m high Sakartepe, in the south by the wetlands of the Gokova plain ("heaven's plain") with it's multitude of species, particularly water birds, takes the visitor into it's spell. Turgutreis

The town is named after the famous admiral, Turgut Reis.He was born here in the early 16th century. Turgut Reis raised from humble origins to command the Ottoman navy, conquered Corsica and returned to Istanbul with a great number of prisoners. In 1595, during an attempt to take Malta, he was killed. Near Turgutreis Town there is a statue of him.

Because of its suitable winds, Turgutreis coast is favored by professional wind surfers. Because of it market day on Saturdays, it also attracts many people. This volcanic area is interesting and offers possibilities for walking and trekking tours. Visitors enjoy the volcanic landscape which is very dramatic and impressive. The 14 small islands, located nearby Turgutreis, are used by farmers as additional pasture land for their animals and by the local fishermen for fishing.
